Born and raised in Cincinnati,
I bring a distinct Midwestern perspective to my work as a visual storyteller and filmmaker.
My multidisciplinary approach
combines technical expertise
with an artistic philosophy rooted in
automatisme;
the performance of automatic action influenced by surrealist intuition and expressed through
stream-of-consciousness
exploration.
My journey began in a high school darkroom,
where what started as curiosity evolved into a profound passion for photography. There, I mastered film development and negative enlargement techniques, laying the foundation for my future in visual media. This early technical training informs my current cinematography work,
where I apply traditional photographic principles to digital filmmaking.
Currently completing my BFA in Media Production at the College Conservatory of Music with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, I bring a critical and inclusive lens to my creative process. My international study in the UK enriched my understanding of narrative development across cultural contexts.
My work spans multiple mediums:
creative writing, painting, floristry photography, ceramics, and filmmaking,
allowing me to approach visual storytelling
from diverse perspectives.
This cross-disciplinary background enables me to see connections others might miss and bring unexpected elements into my production work.
